Cheap Tips
06 December 2010
Christmas Shopping is in FULL EFFECT. And saving money is on every one’s mind. With the Recession still very evident, every penny counts.
I have some Great Suggestions for Getting The Most for Your Money This Holiday.
- 1.GIFT EXCHANGE-Instead of everyone buying a gift for each individual, everyone have a assigned person gift partner and buy a gift for that person. This works great for bigger families. So that you are not buying 20 gifts.
2.REGIFT IT-We all have something laying around the house that still has a tag on it or has not been used. Regift it. I recently bought a friend of mine a ring online, and we it was delivered it was not what I expected it to be. So I am “regifting it” for another friends that I know will absolutely “adore it”. Another’s trash is Another’s One’s Treasure. So start digging.
3.MAKE A BUDGET-Budgeting for the holidays is ESSENTIAL. Going in blindly you are likely to spend way more money than you had originally planned. This is how I have created my own Shopping Budget:
1.Make a list of all the people that you are going buy presents for.
2.Allot a certain amount of money that you are going to spend.
3.Designate an amount to each person to equal your spending budget
4.BUYING GIFTS TOGETHER-Purchasing gifts with a another person and splitting the cost is another easy and fun way to save money.
5.BUY GIFTS ONLY FOR CHILDREN-Christmas and Presents should really be for the children only. So only buying for the “youngins” in the family will make it more enjoyable and cost affective because children are pretty much happy.
6.MAKE A DIY PRESENT-Do-It-Yourself Gifts are alot easier that you think. One year for my boss, I bought a glass jar with a lid
