Sale Alerts are popping up all over the place. It is now time to get rid of summer inventory to make way for fall.

This is a frugal fashionista‘s playground. Find a item that was on your summer wardrobe wish list and buy at nearly half off, YOU COULD JUST SCREAM WITH EXCITEMENT.

I have been a huge fan of the Aldo Forwood Wedge but I could not pay the $90 price tag.

They always say “Good Things Come To Those Who Wait” and I am Good. icon smile Sale Alert ALDO Forwood On Sale for $48 I just recently found the Aldo Forwood‘s on SALE for $48.00 YEAH!!!!

The Aldo Forwood is a great purchase because they are closed toe, so you are still able to wear them through the winter months and transition them into your spring time wardrobe next year.

The Aldo Forwood unique print and wedged style makes for a timeless statement shoe that can be worn, season after season. Fashion Always Recycles Itself.

Frugal Tip Monday- How to Save By Spending on Select Days

No Comments 10 August 2009

how+to+save+by+spending+on+select+days Frugal Tip Monday How to Save By Spending on Select Days SavvySugar is one of my favorite resources for helpful finance information. I came across an article that read “How To Save by Spending On Select Days“. The insight into this concept was great thinking. Spending wisely is very important, here are some suggestions on how to save by selection of a certain day.

1. Grocery Sales are determined by the day you are paid- Marketing is very strategic for when sales are offered to customers. They know that most people are paid at the beginning and the end of the month, and they gauge their promotions accordingly. Smart HUH? They know the consumers are likely to spend more at the beginning of the month.

2. Appointing a Day for Buying Lunch- Eating out is one of the biggest expense on everyone’s list, including mine. (Guilty as Charged) Designating a day to buy lunch out will cut down on your unnecessary expenses and build towards a more financially stable future.
3. Going Cash Only on The Weekends- Placing yourself on a cash only budget can eliminate overspending. Having a set amount for your weekend activities can make for some decision making on functions or outings that you attend. We are more likely to spend more on the weekend for the sole purpose of fun and entertainment after a long week, but be careful this can take you right to the poor house.

losing+money+lazy Frugal Tip Monday How Being Lazy Can Cost YouI came across a great article from DailyWorth, a site that offers free financial advice for women. I was reading their recent article The Cost of Being Lazy and it really hit home. We are all somewhat lazy when it comes to our finances. Whether it be saving, spending too much, or just not taking care of the monthly necessitates. It can really add up “FAST”. According to DailyWorth here are some examples of laziness that are done quite frequently.

1.Not finding the best rate for your savings account
2. Not opening a retirement fund ASAP
3. Not sending in your rebate offers
4. Waiting till the last minute to pay bill
and incurring late fees
5. Not negotiating a deal

Fashion Tip 1-Monday

No Comments 30 March 2009

Fashion Tip: Monday is a new section that I am starting within my site. Every Monday there will be a new fashion tip to start your week off right.

Fashion Tip #1:

Before you spending a dollar, you need a budget in place. Last year I took a Dave Ramsey Financial class, teaching budgeting and how every dollar should have a name. Since 2008 I have had a budget in place. And GOD has it helped. I have a nice amount of money in savings and I am still able to buy what I want. Budgeting is the best way to control impulse buys. Putting aside a designated amount of money every pay period creates control over your finances. Some of the impulse to shop will be minimized if you know that there is money to spend. Priorities first and luxury later.

If any of you have any great tips to share, send them to info@fashionwithoutguilt.com and they will be featured on the site.

Thanks and Happy Shopping.
